At Bear Mountain Kennels, raising puppies is truly a family effort. Kristy Graham and her family pour daily care, structure, socialization, and love into every puppy raised in their program. Each family member brings something special, creating a home environment where puppies are handled, loved, observed, and prepared for real family life from the very beginning.
Kristy is the heart and mastermind behind the breeding program. She oversees health testing, carefully plans each pairing, manages the details behind the scenes, and works hard to create a smooth, thoughtful experience for every puppy family. Her experience showing dogs and her careful eye for quality help guide each pairing with the goal of producing puppies with sound structure, steady temperaments, and loving family companionship.
Located in Squaw Valley, California, Bear Mountain Kennels raises Golden Retrievers, Newfoundlands, and Siberian Huskies with a focus on health, temperament, confidence, and connection. Our goal is to raise puppies that honor and continue the original purpose of each breed, following the standards of a preservation breeder who works to preserve breed purpose, conformation, drive, temperament, and natural abilities so each breed can continue thriving as intended. We do not simply raise beautiful puppies — we raise well-loved, well-started companions who are thoughtfully bred and prepared to become a treasured part of the right family.
Every breed in our program has unique needs, strengths, and responsibilities, and we take placement seriously. Our application and interview process helps us understand each family’s lifestyle, experience, goals, and readiness so we can guide them toward the breed and puppy that truly fits their home for the long term.

Here is the process to getting YOUR Dream Golden Retriever, Newfoundland or Siberian Husky Puppy:
Puppy Application
Start by completing our puppy application so we can learn more about your home, lifestyle, breed interest, experience, timing, and goals.
Zoom Interview
Once we receive your application, you will be directed to schedule a Zoom Puppy Interview to ensure it's a perfect match!
Pay Deposit
Once you and I are comfortable that we are a match made in heaven, you place a deposit and lock in your Puppy Spot.
Get Matched
Approved families may move forward with matching. Puppies are matched thoughtfully based on temperament, family needs, breed fit, breed purpose, and long-term success.
