Bear Mountain Kennels raises Golden Retrievers, Newfoundlands, and Siberian Huskies through Mercyful Siberian Huskies. Each breed in our program has been chosen with purpose, and we are happy to help families understand which breed may be the best fit for their home, lifestyle, and goals.

The first step is to complete our puppy application. This helps us learn more about your family, your experience with dogs, the breed you are interested in, your lifestyle, and your timing. From there, we review your application and guide you through the next steps.

After your application is submitted, our family reviews it carefully. If it looks like a possible fit, the next step is a puppy phone interview. This gives us a chance to learn more about your goals, answer your questions, discuss breed fit, and make sure expectations are clear before moving forward.

Yes. Golden Retrievers, Newfoundlands, and Siberian Huskies all begin with the same puppy application and review process. However, Newfoundland placements are highly selective and may require additional conversation before approval.

Newfoundlands are incredible dogs, but they are also a very large breed with specific grooming, training, space, and care needs. Because of their size and lifelong commitment, we take extra care to make sure every Newfoundland puppy is placed with a family prepared for the responsibility and joy of owning this remarkable breed.

Yes. Bear Mountain Kennels is a family-focused program, and our children are very involved in caring for, cuddling, socializing, and helping with puppies. Our puppies are raised with real family interaction, age-appropriate exposure, and plenty of hands-on love.

Our family has a deep heart for therapy-minded, service-potential, comfort, and special-needs-aware dogs. Because of our own family experience, including training our Newfoundland Elvira for service work with our son Samuel, we value temperament, connection, confidence, and trainability very highly. While no young puppy can be guaranteed to become a service or therapy dog, we do consider those goals carefully when planning pairings and helping families choose.

Yes. Showing has been an important part of our family’s journey with dogs. We have had success in the show ring with multiple breeds, and that experience helps guide our eye for structure, movement, temperament, and breed quality.

Yes, delivery may be available depending on the puppy, location, timing, and arrangement. Guy is a key part of our customer care and puppy delivery process, helping families feel supported as they prepare to welcome their puppy home.
